Beijing Sino-Sci Columbus Environmental Science & Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as "Sino-Sci Columbus"), established in 2014 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cycle Columbus, is committed to enabling green industrial transformation through technological innovation. Specializing in whole-process pollution control, cleaner production, and resource recovery technologies for industrial waste, the company delivers integrated environmental solutions encompassing "Technical Consultation & Services - Process Development & Design - Project Construction & Operations - Equipment & Reagent Supply" to industries including non-ferrous metallurgy (nickel-cobalt, tungsten, molybdenum, rare earth, copper, niobium-tantalum), new energy materials, power battery recycling, and industrial waste valorization. These solutions ultimately achieve closed-loop pollution management and sustainable resource regeneration.


Relying on the robust R&D capabilities of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and its own technological expertise, Sino-Sci Columbus has developed innovative technologies and equipment, including: Integrated resource recovery technology for heavy metals, ammonia nitrogen, and salts in industrial wastewater; Whole-process pollution control technology for ammonia pollution in non-ferrous metallurgy; Heat pump energy-saving waste heat recovery technology; ORZ deep oil removal technology for oil-containing liquids; Catalytic adsorption-based alkaline heavy metal deep removal technology.To date, the company has secured over 200 patented technologies and been honored with more than 20 national and provincial/ministerial-level science and technology awards, including the Second Prize of the National Technology Invention Award and the First Prize of the Environmental Protection Science and Technology Award.


The company has established over 100 demonstration projects nationwide, covering industries such as nickel-cobalt, ternary precursors, power battery recycling, tungsten-molybdenum, rare earths, zirconium, titanium, vanadium, uranium, niobium-tantalum, and scrap metal recycling, effectively supporting cleaner production and green sustainable development in these sectors.One of its core technologies – Resource Recycling Treatment Technology of Ammonia-Nitrogen Wastewater – has been certified by expert evaluations as world-leading. Through continuous R&D and technological iterations, this innovation has maintained a dominant position in the market, securing over 70% national market share in ammonia nitrogen wastewater treatment for the ternary precursor industry.
